Beautiful mountain getaway!

Sandbrook Lodge, nestled in the breathtaking mountain town of Lake Placid is an incredible place to stay! The three-story townhouse is filled with 4 beautiful bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, 4 bathrooms, and a lounge/bar area. We took full advantage of that! Waking up with the babbling brook, picturesque views, and State of the art kitchen with self-closing drawers is just one of the perks of Sandbrook Lodge, or as we refer to it as SBL. The owners take such fastidious care in ensuring that we had absolutely everything that we could ever need and want. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace while watching a movie in the evenings, and having an open floor plan on the main floor was ideal for our little girls to play safely while I could keep an eye on them, and cook over the incredibly clean and beautiful new gas range. Peace, ambiance, and comfort are just a few words to describe our stay. The proximity to downtown Lake Placid and Saranac Lake was an added bonus. If you’re someone who relies on reviews as I do, rest assured that you found your new vacation spot! We cannot recommend this place enough! Our only regret was not having the opportunity to stay longer!

Amazing Family Retreat

If you’re looking for a spacious rental for the whole family or some close friends you can not beat this unit. 5 stars in every detail, the furnishings, the amenities, the layout, the outdoor space all work for making your stay memorable. From the bar on the first level to the outdoor stereo system on the deck, you will have plenty of room to gather with your large family or friends. We highly recommend this unit. The owners go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need for an unbeatable stay!

Quintessential Luxury Lake House

Before even arriving, your team was a pleasure to speak to and make sure our arrival and stay were enjoyable. The house is perfectly located in Lake Placid, walking distance to the golf course, Moose Lodge, and the private beach, and a 5-minute drive to downtown and Mirror Lakes. The house had everything you could need and more! We spent every night on the deck enjoying the fire and listening to the nearby stream. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was truly a relaxing, fun trip and we can’t wait to return!

Lovely family holiday!

We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at Sand Brook Lodge. After traveling all day, the hospitality basket they left for us was much appreciated! We had a lovely stay in Lake Placid and we highly recommend staying at Sand Brook Lodge!

Perfect retreat

Everything was exactly as advertised – cozy, in a beautiful setting with everything we needed. Mark was very helpful. We loved the beach area, restaurant, trails, etc.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this home. We loved all of the amenities at the WhiteFace Club including the restaurant. The owner was available to answer all of our questions and made check-in easy. Their home was extremely clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect.

A week of Bliss!!!! Everything we had hoped for….and more!

Our week at The Sand Brook Lodge was a wonderful experience, an amazing vacation home! The accommodations were exceptionally clean, all the amenities as described, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed! The grounds were beautiful and so inviting…especially the lake, a stone’s throw away! The hiking, golf, paddleboarding, kayaking, endless swimming, and the fishing ~ so much to do and enjoy. The grandkids would have fished all day! Thanks again for sharing your home with us… it was a truly wonderful vacation and an incredible place to stay! We will definitely return!!

Relaxing and well-designed retreat!

My family and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay at this nearly waterfront retreat. The kitchen and living area are thoughtfully designed and the fun basement was a hit with my kids of many ages. The owners included many special touches that made us feel right at home. Walking to the marina and beachfront each day was the true highlight. The views and setting are a stunning backdrop for a relaxing retreat. Lake Placid gets an A in my book for Covid-friendly policies. They are being cautious and even this safety-focused family felt at ease (which is a tall order!).
